MRMC’s Flair software has a free version with reduced number of axes for demo and trial, and so do some other motion control software applications.

Here, there is practically no information about software. Which is a serious drawback. OK I understand perhaps the software creators don’t really want to make it public in demo version. However it wouldn’t hurt if they published an extensive set of screenshots with detailed explanation of functions.
Otherwise, it still looks like a product somewhere in early stage of development rather than market-ready.

Please consider doing this. We potential buyers need being convinced. Lower price is nice, but everyday ease of use, as well as smooth workflow and no-surprise bug-free software environment are equally important, and we have yet to hear good news from this department.

Our software is running on the robot control PC and is not a standalone external solution – so we are not able to provide a demo version without the actual hardware.

Your suggestions for more information and especially screen shots are noted and we are planning to release more insights.

    Many thanks for your feedback!

Am I right remembering that in the very beginning there was a different software solution based on “regular” computer connected to the robot by USB? (I believe I saw it in one of the earliest youtube clips)
If yes, is it still an option?
I’m asking because perhaps for some potential buyers, myself included, a traditional mouse click way might be more convenient and hence preferable. Besides, that would mean less dependence on the hardware unit which can break, get damaged, etc.
Somehow I guess having the whole control system on a separate touchpad would also dramatically limit possible integration of the robot into a virtual production environment.

So, to be brief, IS a PC software control system still available as an option/supplement?
    Thanks!

We never had an external software solution as you described. But you can connect a mouse and keyboard via USB if you don’t want to use the panel touch screen.

Our software runs on and requires the provided hardware!
